The Association of Oil Wives Clubs

Qualifications -

The following persons, but no others shall be eligible for active membership in the society:

(a) Wives whose husbands are employed in, and 86% of whose annual income comes from the exploration, development, service and supply, refining and administrative marketing branches of the oil and gas industry, and who reside in the (geographic name) area of vicinity, and

(b) Widows who had qualified for membership under (a)

(c) Members in good standing who become divorced and who had qualified for membership under section (a) retain active membership until such time as her status changes.
